Do I need to purchase a meal plan?
Yes! It's a great value and it is McKendree University policy requires that all campus Residence Hall residents purchase a meal plans each semester. (Campus apartment residents are not required to purchase a meal plans but are welcome to!)
What is Flex and Bogey Bucks?
Flex Dollars are cash values included in all meal plans except for block plans. They work like a prepaid debit card with funds kept on your student ID card. Bogey Bucks is dollars added to your account a la carte and may be used at any on-campus dining location.
Do Flex Dollars and Bogey Bucks carry over from year to year?
Flex Dollars expire at the end of each semester, and any unused dollars are forfeited. Bogey Bucks carries over from fall to spring but expires at the end of the academic year.
Do Block Meal plans carry over from semester to semester?
Block meals may be used during the semester in which are purchased. They do not carry over from semester to semester and any unused meals are forfeited.
Can I change my meal plan if it does not fit my needs?
Yes! Changing to a bigger or smaller meal plans can be done through Residence Life.
If I am not a Resident Hall Student, where do I buy my meal plans?
If you live off-campus, you can purchase a traditional or commuter meal plans by contacting the Dining Services Office in Ames Hall or by calling (618) 537-6985.
